Wayne Brady: "I'll Gladly Slap" Bill Maher After Obama Diss

Let's Make a Deal emcee calls out his fellow comedian for using his good name to diss Obama as being on the lighter side of black

Wayne Brady is taking a hard line with Bill Maher's recent wisecracks likening him to President Obama.

The former Whose Line Is It Anyway star blasted the Real Time funnyman for referring on two occasions to the commander in chief as "your Wayne Brady"—as if to imply that somehow Obama isn't black enough for his (and presumably liberal America's) taste.

Well, Bill, if you ask Wayne, you got another think coming.

"I've had Bill Maher twice now when when referencing Obama…he's like 'yeah, with your Wayne Brady'…so that means it's a diss to Obama to be called me because he wants a brother brother," Brady told fellow comedian Aisha Tyler on her podcast Girl on Guy.

The 40-year-old comic was quick to point out that the erstwhile Politically Incorrect host's views of African-Americans are somewhat unconventional considering who he claims the latter consorts with.

"Just cause you f--k black hookers, just because you had that particular black experience—and I have to stop myself from getting into it because I realize the thing is, if I had gone on his show, or even doing it online, I'm not going to win. Because as soon as you back off, he still has his platform to say what he wants to," added Wayne (watch the full interview below, though note of caution as it contains explicit language).

Brady couldn't resist improvising an even better slam.

"If he once said, 'Oh, I wanted to know how black Wayne Brady is,' that chip on my shoulder says that rarely do you threaten a man, and I'm not threatening anyone," he continued. "Now I'm not sayin' I'm Billy Badass, but if Bill Maher has his perception of what's black wrapped up, I would gladly slap the s--t out of Bill Maher in the middle of the street. And then I want to see what Bill Maher would do."

"But the black man part of me would be so satisfied to slap the s--t out of him in front of Coco and Ebony and Fox, the three ladies of the night that he has hired," he quipped.

All jokes aside, when it came to the Brady-Obama connection, Brady put Maher's big mouth in context.

"I take that personally," he noted. "You mean to slam the leader of the free world with my name because I'm not the aggressive black man, that's fine. Let's go, Bill."

A rep for Maher and HBO were unavailable for comment.
