"A" is coming to town! (OK, not really...)

Pretty Little Liars fans, get ready to rock. Literally. Rosewood is set to welcome Adam Lambert into town later this season. Feel free to file this under awesome casting news.

So when can you expect to see the fan-favorite American Idol alum turn up on the ABC Family hit? And who will he be playing? And how did his guest appearance come to be? We've got all the details.

ABC Family confirms to us that Lambert will be appearing on the show's Halloween episode, which will air in October.

"When we heard Adam was a fan of the show we knew that he would be a perfect fit for our Halloween episode," executive producer I. Marlene King exclusively tells us. "He's oh so Rosewood!"

The singer, who will be playing himself, will cross path with our Liars when he performs at a pumpkin-themed party they are attending.

Lambert shared the news with his fans via his Twitter account, posting, "Yup--- imma be a Pretty Little Liar!"

Shay Mitchell, one of the show's stars, tweeted Lambert, saying, "Welcome to Rosewood!"

Oh, and we hear people are kind of fans of his (totally awesome) music—his latest album Trespassing is in stores now—so this next nugget of news should really get your excited: Lambert will be performing two songs on the show.
