For Kelly Rutherford, life must go on.
The Gossip Girl star jumped back into work Thursday in New York City, a day after a judge ruled that her two children with her estranged ex-husband would relocate to Monaco to live with him.
The 43-year-old was spotted Thursday on the Manhattan set of the hit CW series, where she was joined by costars Matthew Settle and Ed Westwick.
The court ruling dealt a painful blow to the star in her bitter custody battle with ex Daniel Giersch, 38, with whom she split in 2009 after three years of marriage. Their divorce was finalized in 2010.
Rutherford had been seeking sole custody of their two children—Hermes, 5, and Helena, 3—to keep them in the U.S. But because the Monaco-based Giersch's U.S. visa had been revoked, a judge determined that it was best for the children to live abroad with their father until his visa is restored.
In a statement, Rutherford's rep said that the star is "devastated that her American citizen children were ordered to live overseas to accommodate their father because he's banned from entering the U.S."
