Given the hubbub she's found herself in, we imagine Brittany Kerr will think twice next time before making out in public.
The ex-American Idol contestant offered up a mea culpa on Tuesday, saying her kiss with country star Jason Aldean at a crowded bar along Hollywood's Sunset Strip was a big mistake that she now regrets.
"The actions I portrayed recently were not a representation of my true character, but a lapse in judgment on my part," Kerr said in a statement released through her publicist. "I would like to sincerely apologize to everyone that has been affected by this, including my friends and family."
Not her kinda party indeed.
After pictures of the smooching duo hit the Web on Sunday, Aldean 'fessed up to having cheated on his wife, Jessica Ussery, on his Facebook page, admitting "the truth is that I screwed up." He chalked up his infidelity to having "too much to drink," but stated that he returned to his tour bus alone to head to his next gig and nothing happened beyond that.
He subsequently apologized unreservedly for disappointing his fans and embarrassing his family.
In the wake of the scandal, Brittany ended up on the receiving end of a nasty online backlash, which prompted the Charlotte Bobcats cheerleader to delete her Twitter page. And previously, sources told TMZ that Kerr was unaware that Aldean was married and would have "shut the whole thing down from the start" if she had known.
