No April Fool's joke here: Game of Thrones is back with a vengeance.
Last night's season-three premiere drew a record-breaking 4.4 million viewers, up 13 percent from the season-two premiere and up 4 percent from the season-two finale.
If you combine the 9 p.m. ratings with the two encore broadcasts, the season-three premiere brought in a total of 6.7 million viewers.
Although the HBO fantasy hit hasn't officially been renewed for a fourth season by HBO, we'd bet our dragon children that an announcement about a season-four pick up is on its way…and soon.
Stand by for The Walking Dead finale ratings, which are sure to be huge as well. Basically, we feel sorry for any other series airing last night that wasn't set in Westeros or during a zombie apocalypse.
