As if we needed more proof that Henry Cavill makes one super-hot Superman, his Man of Steel costar Michael Shannon is now gushing over the hunky Brit actor.

"He's perfect, he's flawless," Shannon, who plays Man of Steel villain General Zod in the flick, told us last night at the Hollywood premiere of him movie The Iceman.

"He's everything you could possibly want," he continued. "I saw the movie the other day for the first time, and I just love the original as much as anybody but I can't think of another actor in the business today that could come close to what he did. He was just sensational."

Shannon promises some epic fight scenes between him and Cavill in the flick. "Yes, of course," he said. "If we didn't have any interaction at all, it would probably be kind of bizarre."

Cavill, who got super buff for the part, didn't unleash any actual injuries on Shannon during filming though.

"No injuries physically, no," he jokingly added. "Some mental injuries I'm still trying to get over, but that's no secret to anybody."
