Ever want to walk a mile in Carrie Bradshaw's fab designer shoes?

Well now you can—kind of.

Fifteen years after Sarah Jessica Parker helped make Manolo Blahnik a household name by playing the shoe-obsessed character, the actress is teaming up with the company's CEO George Malkemus to launch her very own shoe line, SJP.

"In a silly way, I think it's what people have expected of me most because of Carrie Bradshaw," the former Sex and the City star told Vogue.

And the actress admits that it's somewhat of a natural progression, following her years playing the fashion icon.

"Because I got to play that role, I wore a lot of shoes and by default I learned an enormous amount," she admitted. "It's hard to walk away from that."

Especially when you're wearing sky-high stilettos!

Of course, this isn't Parker's first time dabbling in design. She launched wallet-friendly clothing, Bitten, for the now the now defunct retailer Steve & Barry's, and acted as creative director for Halston until leaving the brand in 2011.

So, what can we expect from her latest line, which will include shoes—obviously—as well as handbags and trenches?

"We're putting new colors together that people don't typically do, just beautiful combinations that you wish existed in your closet," Parker revealed.  "And in terms of bags, thinking about that period of the seventies into the eighties, what those women were carrying, taking away the bells and the whistles and hardware and really making it about the bag."

We're pretty sure Ms. Bradshaw would approve.

SJP will launch exclusively at Nordstrom in 2014.
