A sad track is on repeat for Miley Cyrus' parents.

Billy Ray Cyrus has filed for divorce from wife Tish after more than 19 years of marriage, a source confirms to E! News.

"This is a personal matter and we are doing what is in the best interest of our family," Cyrus said in a statement. "We ask that you respect our privacy at this time."

The move comes two-and-a-half years after the "Achy Breaky Heart" singer first filed for divorce. Cyrus withdrew his petition in March 2011 after an apparent reconciliation.

His paperwork was filed in Nashville both times (read the petition). Tish, meanwhile, filed her own divorce petition today in L.A. Superior Court (read her petition here), citing irreconcilable differences as the reason.

"This is a personal matter and we are working to find a resolution that is in the best interest of our family," Tish told E! in a statement akin to her husband's. "We ask that you respect our privacy at this time."

Miley shot off a tweet to her dad this afternoon with no further explanation: "@billyraycyrus since your text and email obviously aren't working would you like to talk like this?"

Cyrus' latest tweet to his daughter was on June 3, congratulating her on the success of her latest single, "We Can't Stop."

He and Tish, who tied the knot in 1993, are parents to sons Braison and Trace and daughters Miley, Noah and Brandi. Trace and Brandi were Tish's kids from a previous marriage, both of whom Cyrus adopted. He also has a son, Christopher, from a previous relationship.
