Georgina Sparks, is that you?!
Gossip Girl star Michelle Trachtenberg is set to take on the role of Marina Oswald in Nat Geo's Killing Kennedy, a biopic chronicling the final years of President John F. Kennedy and Lee Harvey Oswald, the man who assassinated him in 1963. A photo of Trachtenberg in character as Oswald's Russian immigrant wife has just been released, and the Buffy the Vampire Slayer actress is almost unrecognizable in costume as a '60s housewife.
Based on the book by Bill O'Reilly and Martin Dugard, Killing Kennedy stars Parks and Recreation star Rob Lowe as Kennedy, Once Upon a Time's Ginnifer Goodwin as Jacqueline Kennedy, and Will Rothhaar as Oswald.
"Seeing @RobLowe on set today in his JFK glory is breathtaking," Trachtenberg tweeted, while Goodwin wrote, "Just saw Rob in JFK GLORY. Overcome!"
Production on the film has finished, and Lowe seems to miss inhabiting the role of the 35th president. "Finally relaxing but very much miss playing JFK," he tweeted. "It was the role of a lifetime. #MySuperHero."
The two-hour docudrama will air on the National Geographic Channel in November, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the president's death.
