That Justin Timberlake is such a tease!

The singer released a video on YouTube today, displaying the past release dates for his singles "Suit & Tie," "Mirrors" and his latest album The 20/20 Experience.

However, when it came to revealing the date for his next single "Take Back the Night," off of his follow-up album (which hits stores Sept. 30), it was blurred out!

Ugh.

J.T.—looking adorable as always with his fedora and scruff—knew what he was doing, too, because he stood there with the illegible sign and chuckled, probably imagining all of the viewers who quickly moved their heads closer to the computer screen in an attempt to still figure out what that dang sign says (was that a "Y" in there?!).

However, he didn't leave fans completely empty-handed.

After dropping the sign with the secret date, Timberlake walked into the back entrance of a club, and a snippet of "Take Back the Night" began to play.

From what we heard, the single has the same kind of catchy melody and dance beat as a lot of his previous tracks, which almost guarantees that it will be yet another hit that becomes stuck in our head and hummed under our breath.

Timberlake has been using handwritten messages as a way to announce a lot of his music news lately.

When revealing his next album's release date, he posted a photo on Instagram showing him playing a guitar in a recording studio. In the foreground is a sign with the message "The 20/20 Experience (2 of 2) Sept. 30th."

Along with continuing The 20/20 Experience, Timberlake announced on his website that he'll be embarking on a world tour this fall. The North American leg will kick off on Oct. 31 in Montreal before winding its way through 21 other cities.

Watch the clip and listen to the preview. What do you think of the track so far?
