The court is welcoming a new lady!

Newcomer Yael Grobglas is set to join the cast of the CW's highly-anticipated new drama Reign, E! News has exclusively learned. Grobglas is set to play Olivia, an Italian noblewoman who is an old flame of Prince Francis (Toby Regbo). Her reappearance at court under extreme circumstances threatens Francis' new relationship with Mary (Adelaide Kane)...and possibly the future of more than one country.

The period drama, which follows Mary Stuart as she navigates the French court's foes, dark forces and sexual intrigue on her way to becoming Mary, Queen of Scots, debuts on Oct. 17.

The Israeli actress most recently starred as America Singer in the CW's Selection pilot, which was ultimately not picked up to series. Described as a cross between The Bachelor and The Hunger Games, the network had actually been working on the project for quite some time, with Friday Night Lights star Aimee Teegarden originally playing the lead in the original pilot. She later vacated the role to star in Star-Crossed, the CW's alien drama, which will debut at midseason.

Also set to appear on Reign in recurring roles are Holby City's Luke Roberts as an English diplomat and Canadian actress Katie Boland as Clarissa, a strange woman with a disfigured face, causing her to hide in the shadows.

Reign debuts Thursday, Oct. 17 on the CW.
