Zayn Malik's Girlfriend, Perrie Edwards, Says His Tattoo of Her Face Is "Lovely"

Little Mix singer tells omg Insider at Teen Choice Awards: "I guess he can just take a look at his arm and remind him of me"

Zayn Malik's girlfriend gets his interest in comic books—and she's happy to be a part of it.

Asked at yesterday's Teen Choice Awards about the cartoon likeness of her face that Zayn had tattooed on his upper right arm earlier this year, longtime girlfriend Perrie Edwards told omg! Insider, "It must be love, to be honest."

"When I'm away from him, I guess he can just take a look at his arm and remind him of me," added the British singer, who's one-fourth of the pop group Little Mix. "So it's a lovely compliment, really. I love it, it's lovely."

Tattoo artist John Garancheski actually confirmed the One Direction heartthrob's artistic intent back in June, but who knew how Malik's muse really felt until now?!

"He wasn't pushy. He was like 'I really want this and I'd like you to do it'," Garancheski told MTV. "He showed me a picture of his girlfriend, Perrie, and he was like 'I kind of want it to look like her, but not to be her, to kind of be like a comic-style version of her.'"

Perrie-as-superheroine joins the comics-reminiscent sleeve Zayn had inked on his right arm last year, as well as various other pieces of body art.
