Get ready for a sneak peek at what's happening in Downton Abbey.
The first full trailer previewing season four of the popular British drama series hit the Internet yesterday, and got off to a, well, dramatic start.
"You have a straightforward choice," says Maggie Smith's character Violet Crawley. "You must choose either death or life."
There was not much more dialogue offered in the clip, but the facial expressions built enough anticipation that it wasn't necessary.
However, E! News talked to some of the stars of the series, who dished about what fans can expect from the upcoming season.
"There are a few potential suitors, there's two main ones," Michelle Dockery told us of Lady Mary's love life. "The new boys coming into the show, they're brave because I'm cursed. Mary is cursed isn't she? Because they all die."
She also squashed any rumors on a romance brewing between Mary and Branson (Allen Leech), saying, "All this speculation about Branson and Mary is just so inappropriate, he's my brother-in-law!"
The PBS series, returning to TV on Jan. 5, received 12 Emmy nominations in July, including Outstanding Drama Series.
