Who of us had Fox as the first network to announce a freshman series renewal in their office pool? Probably Dan from accounting, as always. Cheater.

Sleepy Hollow, a retelling of Washington Irving's classic tale, has been picked up for a second season, the network announced today.

"The show has proven to be a risk well worth taking—it's a conceptual blast unlike anything else on television and it all holds together with inventive writing and a fantastic cast," Kevin Reilly, Chairman of Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company, said in a statement. "I can't wait for fans to experience what else is in store for this fall and even more of this wild ride into season two."

Sleepy Hollow, starring Tom Mison as Ichabod Crane, was a big debut for the network, bringing in 10.1 million viewers and scoring a 3.5 rating in the demo. The drama was Fox's best Fall debut in seven years. In our save it or sink it poll, 85 percent of you guys voted to save it. Looks like Fox heard you all loud and clear.

Sleepy Hollow airs Monday at 9 p.m. on Fox.
