2013 has been a busy year for Kristen Bell. Shortly after the actress and Dax Shepard welcomed daughter Lincoln in March, the new mom got back to work on the Kickstarter-funded Veronica Mars movie. In addition to promoting two independent films, The Lifeguard and Some Girls, Bell filmed a guest spot on NBC's Parks and Recreation. Did we mention how good she looked doing it?
Bell, it seems, has been too busy to notice. "The secret to body after baby is flushing down the toilet every notion of body after baby. Honestly!" the 33-year-old Neutrogena Naturals ambassador exclusively told E! News while promoting Every Drop Counts, a campaign for water conservation in partnership with Neutrogena Naturals and the Nature Conservancy.
"I made a commitment to not allow my narrative for the year after having a baby to be about my weight," she continued. "And I think that freed me up and it made me less concerned with all the pressures that revolve around body image. I was like, 'I have a baby. Do you know how awesome that is? It's so radical! Why on earth am I going to be so concerned with my pants size?'"
The House of Lies star has been doing Pilates to get back into shape, and she just took up jogging. "It's not like I jog for two hours," she explained. "If I hit 20 minutes, I will celebrate. I'm trying to do little things…but really, I'm just focusing on the fact that I made another human. That's awesome."
Because of Bell's busy schedule, she hasn't yet found the time to set a wedding date. As fans will recall, the When in Rome star re-proposed to Shepard after Prop 8 passed in California, giving same-sex couples the right to legally marry. (Parenthood's Shepard first popped the question in late 2009).
"Now we're just waiting on our own laziness," Bell admitted. "I have to unfortunately report that we just haven't gotten it together on a Saturday to get to the court house. But we have every intention to. We have every intention to. We wanna sign those papers. And I think we just found out that you can do it online now. What if we got married online? Print it out: ‘You guys, married! Married, everybody!' It's just out of laziness that we haven't actually done it yet."
