The God of Thunder is continuing to fare very well with moviegoers.

Thor: The Dark World was No.1 at the box office again this weekend, and made an impressive $38.5 million after its very strong debut last weekend.

The action-thriller, starring Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Natalie Portman and Anthony Hopkins, was not the runaway winner and did have some competition its second week in theaters.

The Best Man Holiday, the star-studded Christmas-themed flick, featuring Taye Diggs, Sanaa Lathan and Terrence Howard to name a few, was right on Thor's heels and earned $30.6 million.

The romantic comedy is the sequel to The Best Man, which was released 14 years ago.
