The 49-year-old actress and her hubby, Marc Schauer, quietly welcomed a baby boy last week after keeping the entire pregnancy a secret, her rep confirms to E! News. Their son, who was born on Jan. 8, is named Bennett Armistead Schauer.
"They are very happy," the rep said of the new parents.
Bennett is the first child for Linney and Schauer, who married back in 2009.
Talk about being good at keeping a secret! Linney has definitely been lying low.
She hasn't been spotted since attending the Women in Film's 2013 Crystal + Lucy Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel back in June, when she was only a few months preggers.
At the bash, she hid her burgeoning bump in a baggy black dress with sheer white sleeves.
And as for Bennett's name, Linney has starred in several TV miniseries based on Armistead Maupin's Tales of the City and it seems she remains a big fan of the author. (And he of her. He's said that, "I hear Laura's voice" when he writes her character now.)
