Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas are making it work.

Eight months after the famous couple separated to "evaluate and work on their marriage," the A-list actors reunited on the red carpet Tuesday night. Zeta-Jones—who also debuted new blunt bangs—joined her husband of 13 years for The Library's opening night at The Public Theater in New York City.

The actress, 44, and the actor, 69, have been spotted together often in recent months, but this marked the first time they attended an official event since separating. They were supporting director Steven Soderbergh, who created the play. Zeta-Jones worked with the filmmaker on Traffic, Ocean's Twelve and Side Effects, while Douglas worked with him on Traffic, Haywire and Behind the Candelabra.

The couple most recently stepped out Apr. 5 when they were honored at the Windward School in L.A.

The actors—parents to son Dylan, 13, and daughter Carys, 10—have always remained hopeful that they would be able to reconcile their differences. "Sometimes people take a little bit of a break, but it doesn't necessarily mean that's the end," Douglas once said on The Tonight Show. "I'm very hopeful."

Here's hoping the stars stay married for decades to come!
