Gwyneth Paltrow didn't dig into the archives for her #ThrowbackThursday photo.

Instead, she shared a photo from her family's recent trip to Exumas in the Bahamas. Yes, it's seemingly from that trip—the one she went on with Chris Martin just before announcing their "conscious uncoupling." The Oscar winner, 41, is literally surrounded by love in the sunny snapshot, as she's seen embracing her daughter Apple, 9, and son Moses, 8. Perhaps purposefully, Martin, 37, does not appear in the picture.

Why Exumas? "The island is a place where you go not to be seen," a local resident told E! News in March, just after the family's arrival. "People come to the island to really get away. It is a very private island and there is nothing commercial here. It's a lot of land without a lot of people living here."

Luckily, the exes are on good terms. When Paltrow and Martin revealed their breakup news via Goop, they said they will "always will be a family" and added that they "are closer than we have ever been."

Indeed, a source recently said the A-listers make better friends than lovers. "It's been a long and very sentimental year," the source told E! News of the pair, who got married in 2003. "Thinking about going in different directions actually brought out the best in them. They discovered a lot of their love again."

"Their lives are just going in different directions," the source added. "They will continue to do family stuff together, but they both want to be out in the world and be single." That was clear Apr. 10 when Martin showed up for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony without his wedding ring.

True to their word, the exes' No. 1 priority is ensuring their kids' lives remain as normal as possible. Paltrow succeeded in doing just that when she hosted Moses' 8th birthday party at their L.A.-area home last weekend. "Moses ran around with his friends all afternoon and had a blast," a source told E! News. "There was so much to choose from—the kids never sat down. It was like being at a private carnival and everyone was so excited," according to an eyewitness. "It was a great day and fun celebration."
