Taylor Swift is getting more New York by the minute! Dressed in all-black, the former Nashville resident shed her wall of bangs, delicately lined eyes and frosty pink lipstick for hipster hair (kind of), dramatic black cat eyes and a hot fuchsia statement lip.

Now that the country crooner has her own New York City apartment, she wants to make sure that everyone knows she's a local. Or she just wants to guarantee that she makes all her exes regret the moment they wronged the blond beauty. We don't care what the reason is—we love this look.

Try the Look: To get Taylor's meow-worthy eyes, start by prepping upper eye area with an eye primer or concealer. Then, to make eyes appear larger, apply a matte taupe powder eye shadow like Espadrilles from the Tarte Golden Days & Sultry Nights Amazonian Clay Collector's Shadow Palette to the eye creases in a windshield wiper motion. Blend like crazy.

Next, use a black eyeliner pencil to create a line along the upper lash line that gets thicker as you get towards the outer corner. Then, when you get to the outer corner, extend and flick the pencil towards the outer corners of your eyebrows.

To make the line thicker and to ensure the color is locked in all night, go over your pencil line with a liquid eyeliner pen in black that has a fine tip, like Revlon ColorStay Liquid Eye Pen.

Unless you are a professional artist or have the steadiest hand around, your line probably isn't quite as perfect as Ms. Swift's. Use a pointed Q-tip soaked in makeup remover to correct your mistakes and dab concealer around the area.

Complete eye makeup by applying two to three coats of a volume-building mascara, like Rimmel ScandalEyes RetroGlam Mascara in Extreme Black. Tip: Remove any clumps and separate lashes by going over them with a disposable mascara wand.

To get Taylor's playful pucker, start by exfoliating lips with a sugar lip scrub or a dry toothbrush. Next, prep lips with a primer or treatment that will plump lips and ensure your lipstick lasts, like Lierac Coherence Lip.

Then, line and fill in lips with either a neutral-colored lip pencil or one that is an exact match for your lipstick. Next, using a lip brush, apply a semi-matte fuchsia lipstick like NARS Semi Matte Lipstick in Funny Face. Blot lips with a tissue and apply a second coat.

We're so happy to see Swifty is growing up—moving to the big bad city and finally varying her look. We thought for certain we would be looking at photos of her 20 years from now wearing frosty pink lipstick and a wall of bangs with a swinging Barbie ponytail. Now, if only we could get her to drop the country and go full-on hard rock girl. Baby steps...
