It seems the whole world is in a sunshine state of mind, thanks to Kate Middleton.

Ever since the Duchess of Cambridge arrived in Sydney, Australia wearing a yellow frock by designer Roksanda Ilincic, yellow dress sales have shot through the roof.

Even though Kate joked of the dress, "William said I look like a banana," clearly the world thinks she looks like a very chic banana, because everyone is running out and buying a yellow dress.

Days after the "banana dress," Kate wore yellow again. She donned a pastel eyelet dress during a trip to the Taronga Zoo in Australia, officially solidifying yellow as the new "it" color.

eBay reported a 95% rise in dress sales since the royal tour, proving that there is no slowing down the "Kate" effect.

The fact that yellow dress sales are skyrocketing isn't too surprising considering all of the designer dresses that have sold out after Kate wore them during the royal tour. Her black and white Tory Burch dress sold out in hours, and her DVF wrap dress sold out in a mere eight minutes!

And yellow isn't the only color having its day in the sun. After Kate wore a bright green Erdem coatdress while arriving at the Hamilton airport in New Zealand, eBay reported an 88% sales increase in green dresses.

We love that Kate never is afraid to wear plenty of bright and joyful colors. Now, are you thinking about buying a new yellow dress?
