As Kim Kardashian, Kanye West and the rest of the family enjoy themselves in Paris, E! News has learned that the Royal family will be heading out that way soon, too! Queen Elizabeth II, Prince William and Kate Middleton will be among the royals who will travel to France to commemorate the 70th anniversary of D-Day.
According to the press release from the palace, the visit, which will take place from June 5-7, will begin with a ceremonial arrival and welcome by President François Hollande at the Arc de Triomphe, followed by meetings at The Elysée Palace. Later that evening there will be a Garden Party celebrating The Queen's visit hosted by Her Majesty's Ambassador to France at the British Residence in Paris.
Prince Charles and his wife, The Duchess of Cornwall, will also be a part of the trip and meet several World War II veterans in Normandy when they attend commemoration events to mark the 70th anniversary. Meanwhile, Will and Kate will meet veterans at a tea party in the town of Arromanches before attending the services.
D-Day refers to the landing of Allied forces on the Normandy beach in Northern France On June 6, 1944, which had a major impact on final invasion of Germany and bringing World War II an earlier close.
