Congratulations are in order for Lorde and her parents!

The New Zealand-born beauty revealed via Twitter that her mom and dad got engaged on Monday...after nearly 30 years together!

"BEST DAY - went to niagara falls - my dad proposed to my mum after almost 30 years together," the 17-year-old singer tweeted, adding a series emojis, including a heart, a rainbow and a ring, in order to express her obvious enthusiasm.

The singing sensation's father, Vic O'Conner, who is a civil engineer, popped the question to her mother, poet Sonja Yelich, after nearly three decades together, and clearly nothing could make the hitmaker happier.

Following the big reveal, she couldn't help but poke a little fun at the lyrics in her hit tune "Royals," in which she sings, "I've never seen a diamond in the flesh."

"inevitable response yes i know i have seen a diamond now," she quipped on the social media site.

Lorde has previously opened up about her close relationship with her parents, who were by her side when she took home the Grammy Award for Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance, and revealed that she believes mom and dad know what's best.

"My parents…know what young people need," the performer said last year while speaking with Interview mag. "My mum takes my iPhone off me at night, because I need to do homework and sleep, otherwise I'd spend all night on Facebook and Instagram...My parents are pretty good; they understand what I really want. If I do decide to leave school at the end of this year, that's a bridge we'll cross."

She added: "I think I'm really lucky to have a great family."

Congrats!
