Whether she's modeling in an ad campaign or staring in the TV drama Blue Bloods, Bridget Moynahan is one of those multi-talented women who has an effortlessly chic vibe.

Bridget is the new face of NYDJ, a brand that makes figure-flattering clothes meant to make you look your slimmest. Not too shabby of an idea, admittedly!

So we caught up with the Boston-bred beauty to chat about her latest modeling gig, her summer beauty essentials, vacationing with her family and how long it takes her to get ready in the morning. Hint: She says her routine is faster than most men she knows!

What products are always, always in your purse?
Lip gloss! Right now I'm really loving the Beauty Counter Lip Shine. I also always have sunscreen, and I use either Beauty Counter or Chanel.

What was your most recent splurge item?
I recently splurged on a Clare Vivier leopard-print clutch, because it's one of those patterns that will go with you throughout every single season.

What's your fashion must-have?
I love a crisp white T-shirt that you can throw on with anything. Also, a cool hat is a fashion and beauty must-have, because you're taking care of your skin and you still look cute.

What's your least favorite summer trend?
I am seeing all these girls walking around the city in these super-short denim cutoffs with their booties hanging out, and that is just a look I am not into!

What are your favorite summer vacations/activities?
We went to the Hamptons, runs on the beach, golf, tennis. That's just kind of how I like to spend my summer. Just easy and active.

How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?
I pretty much get ready faster than the majority of men that I know. I wash my face, put on sunblock, put on light makeup and head out the door. I mean, I don't make an event out of it.

What's your favorite summer sweet treat?
Fudge swirl ice cream on a sugar cone! Fortunately for me, not many sell fudge swirl or I'd be having it every day! It's one of those ice creams they just don't make anymore.

What's your favorite part about shooting Blue Bloods?
The best thing about Blue Bloods is the family dinners, because it's the one day we all are able to get together in the same room and catch up on each other lives.

Since you have such a background in the fashion industry, would you ever consider trying your hand at designing?
Yes, if it was for the right thing. Because you really have to do it right.
