FX's anthology series finally set a date for the upcoming season. E! News has confirmed that Freak Show will premiere Wednesday, Oct. 8, at 10 p.m.

But that's not all! The network also debuted the first official teaser for season four, and it's as creepy as you'd expect from a show that revolves around the last freak show in America in 1952.

Yeah, we're not exactly sure who—or even what—that creepy hand belongs to, but you can be sure as hell that teaser just got us that much more excited for the new season.

Freak Show is set in the quiet, sleepy town of Jupiter, Fla., and is about a troupe of curiosities that has just arrived to town, coinciding with the strange emergence of a dark entity that savagely threatens the lives of townsfolk and freaks alike. The performers will begin their desperate journey of survival amidst the dying world of the American carny experience. Plus, there's also going to be the most terrifying clown ever, according to executive producer Ryan Murphy. (Because clowns aren't scary enough already, right?)

The attraction is run by Elsa Mars (Jessica Lange) and features conjoined twins Bette and Dot Tattler (Sarah Paulson), strongman Dell Toledo (Michael Chiklis) and Jyoti Amge, the world's smallest living woman. Freak Show also stars Evan Peters, Frances Conroy, Patti LaBelle, Wes Bentley, Emma Roberts, Denis O'Hare, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Gabourey Sidibe and Jamie Brewer.
