New York Fashion Week is nearly upon us, and designers will be showing their spring 2015 collections. Expect plenty of bright and joyful colors and trends that will have us wanting to fast-forward through the fall and jump straight into spring.

But fall has only just begun. So let's take a look back at last season's Fashion Week, which previewed all the trends that would be huge for fall 2014. After all, these are the styles that we should be wearing now. It's time to say au revoir to summer and fully embrace the new season.

A huge color trend was bright reds and pinks. So if you think fall is all about gray and brown, the colder seasons can actually be supe- vibrant.

Sportswear was also all over the runways, with designers like Alexander Wang and Rebecca Taylor embracing the look. And, of course, fur was huge—most notably J. Mendel and DKNY celebrated the cold weather staple.

Other major trends? Chunky knits, metallics and folksy-inspired styles. Click through our gallery below to see the top ten trends for fall 2014!
