Is Amal Alamuddin taking a page from the Kate Middleton bridal playbook?

George Clooney's fiancée was running errands with her mother, Barria, on Thursday in London, and one of their stops was the headquarters of Alexander McQueen. The bride-to-be was there for two hours and, we're told, she hugged a seamstress when she left.

Oh, and that's not the first visit she's paid to the design house, either!

Cue the speculation that Amal has commissioned a wedding dress from the famed couturier, though there has also been some chatter that she might pick a designer from her native Lebanon, such as Elie Saab or Zuhair Murad, to craft her bridal look.

Alexander McQueen, whose late eponymous founder cultivated a massive celebrity clientele, is in the heart of London, where the bride-to-be is based (so she'd be patronizing a local business) and it's really just a hop, skip and a jet ride from Lake Como, where she and Clooney are planning to tie the knot.

Moreover, the label has time and again proven itself to be a purveyor of timeless-yet-chic, unique-yet-classy, elegant (like Amal herself) wedding style.

McQueen creative director Sarah Burton of course famously designed the instantly iconic dress that the Duchess of Cambridge wore on her big day, a gown for the history books that has since launched a thousand knockoffs.

Before going to Alexander McQueen, Amal and Barria hit Michael John Hair Salon in Mayfair for a little ladies day grooming as well.

And regardless of where the dress comes from, we know that Amal is going to look stunning on her wedding day—and that George is one lucky groom.
