Alanis Morissette, you, you, you oughta know that this may not be the greatest decision you've made.

The Grammy award-winning singer opted to part ways with her signature dark locks, and debuted a much different look on her Instagram today. Not only did Alanis chop off her long tresses, but she also dyed her hair blond...kinda (there's a sorta, reverse-ombre-type-of-situation going on).

Now before you get all defensive, Morissette is obviously still beautiful as always, but we miss the dark hair. That's all.

"new hair. girl needed to have a little fun ;) ps-- blondes are, in fact, treated differently. this is one of the many effects of work addiction recovery :) #spontaneity #easybreezy #makeupforlosttime #healing," she captioned the photo.

The big hair change comes after the celeb revealed that her early experiences with fame caused her to suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Morissette talks about this on this week's episode of Oprah Winfrey's "Super Soul Sunday," which prompted O to ask, "You use the term PTSD, what do you really mean by that?"

Alanis responds, "Traumatized because I think that on some level, becoming famous and wanting fame, there's some trauma."

She says that she wanted fame, but once she got it, "the traumatized person, in this case, me, gets traumatized by the thing I thought would be the balm. I thought that everything would be helped and soothed and healed by fame."

Super Soul Sunday with Alanis Morissette airs this Sunday, Sept. 21, at 11 a.m. on OWN.
