Lauren Conrad didn't just have one or two of her best friends standing by her side when she said "I do" to William Tell—she had 10!

Yes, the former MTV reality star had 10 bridesmaids in her wedding party. So how did she pick the lucky ladies?! In a LaurenConrad.com blog post published Thursday, the newlywed explained, "When it came time to choose my 'maids, my motto was the more the merrier."

"I didn't mind the idea of having a large bridal party… to a point (you don't want more people standing up than in seats!)," she wrote. "It really is a personal preference, and I knew that having a bigger bridal party with all of my best friends was the way to go. So, I chose my sister and a bunch of my besties to do me the honor of being my bridesmaids, and I couldn't be happier with my decision."

And Lauren's bridesmaids, including longtime BFF Lo Bosworth, all wore dresses from the lifestyle guru's Paper Crown line. She was no bridezilla, either, when it came to the designs. "I sent them all the different shapes and let them pick from two colors," she explained to Martha Stewart Weddings. "I don't mind if there are a few girls in the same dress, or if people are all in different ones. It's too difficult to take a group of girls and put them in the same color and silhouette; everyone has their own style."

"They're all wearing the same two colors, so it's all the same color scheme," she said. "I don't think it needs to look too cohesive. They're all individuals, so it's nice that it doesn't look too uniform."

The ladies could all wear their hair however they liked, but the style icon had one request: Matching manicures! Her not-so-subtle idea of making this happen? "I was thinking about doing a gift bag and just including a pale pink or a nude in there," she told the mag pre-wedding. "We'll see if I get around to that. I think that's a nice way to suggest, like, 'Here's a pretty color for you.' Yeah, that might actually be a good call because some of my friends will probably have navy or dark nails!"

And when it came down to the big day, all of L.C.'s planning was worth it. Everything, as you can see, was picture-perfect!
