In her memoir Off the Sidelines, U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand shares an awesome photo with her old roommate, who happens to be none other than Nashville star Connie Britton!
In the throwback pic, the Dartmouth gal-pals are all smiles as the New York politician rests her hand on her friend's shoulder. You can certainly tell that the '80s were in full effect as the former Friday Night Lights actress sports a classic feathered ‘do!
The two ladies lived together for the summer during a college study abroad program in Beijing. Both Asian studies majors, they were among the first to travel to China after the country opened up to American students!
Last October, the 47-year-old redhead dished on one of her overseas adventures with Gillibrand during an interview with Morning Joe.
"I actually have some amazing stories, a couple of which I can't tell," she said. "We were there over the summer, so we were there over Fourth of July, and the American embassy had a big Fourth of July party and part of that was doing a lip sync contest."
She continued, "Kirsten and two other girlfriends of ours did a Madonna song. Can't remember exactly which one but let me just say, we won the contest!"
