Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting didn't think too much about it when she first heard she had nude pictures circulating online.
"I totally have Google alerts that come to my phone...so, every day there's like 30 'Kaley Cuoco nude photos,' [but] it's been going on for years. It's all these fake ones," the Big Bang Theory star, 28, said Thursday on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. "So then, this one came up, and I was like, 'Oh, it's another fake one...'"
But this time, it wasn't. Kaley was one of the many female celebrities whose naked and scantily-clad photos were hacked and leaked to the public over Labor Day Weekend. When Kaley learned this, she "sent an email out to my family, just [telling them], so you know, this happened. Blah, blah, blah. P.S. I'm not pregnant, not getting a divorce—I was able to get everything out int he email which was great.."
"It was just a really bad situation," she said. "But, I took it in my own hands and made a joke about it because, you know, what are you gonna do?"
So, under the guidance of her Big Bang Theory co-stars, she released mock NSFW shots using the Nudifier app, which lets users strategically pixilate pics. Kaley told Jimmy Kimmel her co-stars were "helping me pick out the picture and what I should Nudify so I could like, get 'em back...All the guys helped with this one. It was really great."
"You know," she said, "you've gotta make fun of yourself."
