If you had your heart set on the mermaid-inspired dresses from the Rodarte spring 2015 show, then get ready to break out your piggy bank; it's gonna cost you.

Fashion Week always brings plenty of gasp-worthy gowns and getups that clearly are going to cost a ton once they hit the shelves. Between the material, craftsmanship and sheer time that goes into some of these creations—nothing shown on the NYFW runway is going straight to the bargain bin.

That's why when Rodarte's spring collection went up for pre-sale on Moda Operandi, we weren't surprised that most of the stuff started upwards of $1,000 (standard).

But our mouths did drop at the cost of the mermaid-inspired fishnet and Swarovski crystal-encrusted gown. Y'all ready for this? $25,300.

Yup, you read that right: a cool $25K. For one dress. That's, like, way too close to many people's annual salaries. Again, for one dress. Yeesh.

But really our hopes aren't dashed too badly. It's not like when we saw these dresses sail down the Rodarte runway we thought we could actually afford them. Just one look at all the intricate detail and it's clear these babies are gonna cost you.

In the meantime, we'll start saving for one of the "cheaper" items on pre-sale. Like a pair of $1,120 lace-up heels or $780 jeans.
