Post-breakup blues? Not for Jordin Sparks!

The former American Idol winner stepped out in New York City looking happier than ever just a few short days after E! News exclusively revealed her breakup from longtime boyfriend Jason Derulo.

As she continues to promote her new movie, Left Behind, the 24-year-old looked stunning in a gray skirt, black crop top and a matching clutch. She also donned some bright purple lipstick to complete her look.

The happiness could come from her father who surprised the "Battlefield" singer while she was in the Big Apple.

"I love my dad! He's so awesome," she tweeted Tuesday afternoon. "He drove into the city with Cubby's BBQ because he knows it's my favorite!!! He's the best!"

The father-daughter bonding comes after the singer appeared on NBC's Today show where she was asked about the surprise split.

"I'm good, actually," she explained to Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb. "The funny thing is I read this quote, ‘When something unexpected happens in your life or you think something  bad happens just say, plot twist! And move on.'"

One day after the news broke, Sparks shared another inspiring tweet with her followers: "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened."

Meanwhile, Derulo is trying his best to move on from the split.

After performing with the University of Southern California marching band Saturday in Los Angeles, the "Trumpets" singer opened up to Ryan Seacrest about the breakup.

"Every relationship has ups and downs," he said during On Air With Ryan Seacrest. "There was a lot of pressures of marriage. There was a lot of arguing and stuff like that that just weighed on our relationship over time." He also added that cheating or infidelity did not play a part in the split.

Today, both Derulo and Sparks are focused on their music careers. In fact, the "Tattoo" beauty is busy working in the studio now.

"Write. Sing. Repeat," she tweeted with a smiley face emoji. Like we said, don't expect to hear the breakup blues anytime soon.
