First it was Vin Diesel, then it was Mean Girls' Daniel Franzese, and now it's none other than Kelly Clarkson.

The new mother performed on stage for the first (well, official) time since giving birth to her daughter River Rose at Symphony Park in Charlotte over the weekend.

The American Idol winner appeared at the free concert, which was in honor of the new Microsoft store at the city's SouthPark Mall.

Just last month Clarkson took the stage at a Trisha Yearwood and Garth Brooks show—which also marked River's first concert—but the weekend festivities mark her post-baby debut as a solo performer.

During her set, she surprised the crowd with an awesome rendition of Sam Smith's hit, "Stay With Me."

"Anybody like Sam Smith here? I love this song and I know you probably have heard it a bunch," she told the crowd before singing the track.

"It's fun to sing and it's bluesy…I just like the word 'stay' in songs, so I'm just going to sing it in every song."

But it looks like it won't be long until we get to see Clarkson performing her own new music live as well.

She recently snapped a too-cute-for-words pic of her daughter visiting her on the set of her new music video, "Wrapped in Red."

After a fan asked when they could expect a new album from the singer, she excitedly tweeted, "I'm so proud of my next album! Might have a special guest… Doesn't come until early next year." Who's ready?!
