So it seems, after Sofía Vergara and former fiancé Nick Loeb both attended the Angel Ball last night in New York City, where the businessman surprised his ex on the red carpet, making for a very uncomfortable moment, which was all caught on camera.
According to an eyewitness, the 42-year-old Colombian beauty was speaking with Extra correspondent AJ Calloway when Loeb suddenly approached the Modern Family star and whispered something in her ear. It was a "really awkward moment," the eyewitness added of their impromptu encounter.
A second source tells E! News that "Nick Loeb pushed his way down the carpet as soon as he saw Sofia. He nuzzled his head into her shoulder," noting that it was "such an awkward moment."
"He whispered in her ear something like, 'It's good to see you' and Sofia didn't even flinch," the source continued. "For a split second she seemed startled but tried not to make it seem like she even heard what he said, she flipped her hair and went on with the interview, was such a weird interaction."
The two arrived separately to the event, which Vergara attended sans new beau Joe Manganiello and appeared unaware of her ex's presence at the star-studded black-tie benefit.
Sofía announced her split with Loeb in May 2014, citing work commitments and time apart as the reason for their breakup. The former couple got engaged in July 2012.
Last month, the pair was spotted hanging out together in Manhattan, where they were photographed all smiles while strolling the streets in the Upper Eastside. But despite their friendly demeanor, a source told E! News that there was no chance of a reconciliation between the two.
"They are definitely not getting back together," the insider said.
Vergara, meanwhile, coupled with the Magic Mike hunk shortly after calling it quits with the Onion Crunch founder.
The lovebirds, who were first linked as a couple in July, recently took a romantic trip to Mexico together and continue to look like they're happier than ever (of course, it doesn't hurt that they're arguably Hollywood's hottest couple).
"Well, he's very hot. He's a great guy, he's very funny," the four-time Emmy nominee said of her sexy man on Live! With Kelly and Michael last month. "And he's very entertaining which is very important for me because I need to be with somebody that knows how to have fun because I like to have fun."
And heck, even Loeb can't deny the actor's massive sex appeal.
When asked what he thought of Manganiello at the Custo Barcelona show recently at Lincoln Center's Salon, he gave a hearty laugh and reportedly said, "He's a great-looking guy," adding, "I guess if I was a girl, I'd be dating him, too."
