Superheroes are supposed to fight crime—not each other!

Batgirl (or Catwoman, depending on how you interpret her ensemble) and Mr. Incredible must not have gotten that memo, because the two costumed characters got into quite the brawl this week on Hollywood Boulevard. Fortunately, a man dressed as Waldo (from Where's Waldo) and another in costume as Star Wars' Chewbacca tried to break up Batgirl and Mr. Incredible's fight, and all of it was caught on camera!

Jimmy Kimmel Live got footage of the superhero scuffle, and on Wednesday's show, the late-night host tried to figure out just what went down between the supposed superheroes in the first place. And while he couldn't track down all the parties involved, he was able to get Waldo and Chewbacca to share their accounts of what happened.

"First of all, I want to commend you both on being so courageous," Jimmy told the two costumed characters. "What happened out there?"

"Well," said Chewbacca, "Catwoman [aka Batgirl] and Mr. Incredible were fighting each other, so I just went in and I separated them. Waldo was there first—he can tell you why."

"I heard a scuffle between these two...calling one another—I can't say those words on TV," said Waldo. Jimmy replayed a clip of him grabbing on to Mr. Incredible's foam muscles in an effort to keep him away from Batgirl, asking, "Is [Mr. Incredible] as powerful as he's supposed to be?"

"No," said Waldo. "He's a total p—one of those words I can't say on TV."

Jimmy then brought in R.J., a man selling CDs (not in costume), who also tried to bring peace to the streets. "[I intervened] just to break it up," he said. "I was kind of mad at what he [Mr. Incredible] did. It wasn't right...I was very angry at what he did. To see a man slam a woman to the ground like that is never appropriate."

Jimmy inquired as to whether it was true that R.J. "punched Mr. Incredible off camera," but the music salesman wasn't fessing up to that one. R.J. did, however, admit, that he "always thought that I'd be a superhero someday," saying, "You know, I felt like that."

Unfortunately, neither Chewbacca, Waldo, nor R.J. know Mr. Incredible's real identity.
