When it comes to the tabloids, Kris Jenner has seen it all.

From false plastic surgery rumors to cruel headlines with regards to weight gain, the Kardashian matriarch's famous children have all had to endure some sort of criticism throughout the course of their careers.

So how does the successful momager cope with the false reports that are constantly plaguing her kids? According to the 58-year-old E! star, it's all about instilling a strong sense of self-esteem in her children at an early age.

"Everybody's a critic and I think putting the girls—and Rob now—on magazines definitely sells them," the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star says of her kids, Kourtney, 35, Kim, 34, Khloé, 30, Rob, 27, as well as 18-year-old Kendall and 17-year-old Kylie Jenner. "I taught the kids a long time ago that it really starts with when they were younger. I've really tried hard to raise strong daughters and give them a sense of self-esteem—really good self-esteem."

The mother of six adds that "just like any other kids" her children all grew up and went through puberty, "where it was that real chubby stage."

"Everybody went through it," she says, "They had braces, they were awkward. Rob was chubby and that's when kids need you the most."

And despite the fact that a new rumor always seems to follow the Kardashian clan, Jenner says her children are always keen to support each other.

This isn't the first time Kris has addressed her childrens'—particularly Rob's—recent struggles.

She previously broke down during an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians and admitted, "I want to fix Rob, and sometimes you just can't."
