At E! News, it is not uncommon to overhear the following questions being thrown out amongst our staff: "Did you see Kim Kardashian's new selfie?" "Are there donuts/ice cream/cupcakes in the kitchen?" "Where did you get that [insert item of clothing]? I think I have the same one."

Yes, desserts and North West's mom aside, our editors have a lot in common, especially when it comes to shopping. We often score identical duds and accessories on an almost weekly basis. In fact, it's so common we could easily have a staff-only Bitch Stole My Look gallery.

But instead of that, we've decided to launch a new feature showcasing one item we're all currently obsessing over. Right now, it apparently is this oversize plaid scarf from Target, $17. Great minds, amiright?

Here's what five editors had to say about the fall staple:

Tierney Bricker, TV Scoop Supervising Editor: I was on the hunt for a cozy plaid scarf to rock this holiday season without spending a fortune. (You can only get so much use out of scarf in Los Angeles.) So this Target one was a gift from the accessories gods. And I've never met two (or three) prints I didn't want to pair together, so I decided to go all out: plaid, stripes and leopard. You can wear black when you're dead.

Cinya Burton, Fabulist Senior Editor: I feel about scarves the way most women feel about shoes: You can never have too many. So when I saw this classic print in the aisles of Target for under $20… Well, you know I had it wrapped around my neck faster than you can say "mad about plaid."

Jacqueline Lee, Photo Editor: I'm so in love with the holiday vibe this scarf is sending out. It has me reaching for my London coat and boots and wishing for some snow and Christmas shopping on Regent Street.

Lindsey Sirera, Fabulist Intern: The best part of fall fashion? Obviously the scarves. Since I live in L.A. (where "fall" means 70 degrees), it's hard to wear a scarf without dressing too warmly and looking ridiculous. So that's why I love pairing scarves with casual dresses—it's the perfect way to integrate this fall staple into a cool outfit. Be sure your color scheme is a darker palette (note the black jersey dress and black booties), and no one will think your fall frock and scarf combo is out of season.

Nicole Adlman, Fabulist Writer:  I'm from New York, which means that any cozy, oversize scarf brings home to mind. I would wear this plaid version with black skinnies (like these lacquered jeans from Paige Denim), a comfy sweater (my camel-colored top is an old staple from H&M) and—why not?—some killer suede wedges, like these Steve Madden ankle-strap pumps.
