Watch: Haley Joel Osment Is Back in The Spotlight!

Welcome back to Hollywood, Haley Joel Osment

The 26-year-old actor—who, at the age of 11, was nominated for an Academy Award for his role in The Sixth Sense—is returning to the spotlight after taking a lengthy break from Tinseltown to attend the Experimental Theatre Workshop program at NYU Tisch, where he successfully honed his craft away from the spotlight.

So when Osment stopped by E! News on Friday—be sure to check out his interview at 7 and 11 p.m. tonight—we had to ask the former child star to dish on his plethora of forthcoming projects, including his upcoming film Sex Ed as well as the Kevin Smith-directed comedy Yoga Hosers and his appearance in the Entourage film.

"I love it," Osment gushed of his return to Hollywood. "People haven't seen me in these films...so it's really fun playing with that and I feel really fortunate that each of these characters are different from one another. And they're all kind of happening at the same time, which is really nice."

It will certainly be a breath of fresh air for fans to see Osment embrace his comedic side on the big screen, as he is best known for his dramatic roles in films like Pay It Forward and Forrest Gump (we'll be playing a flashback interview on E! News tonight!).

In Sex Ed, he plays a teacher who lands his first job at an inner city school only to discover that there's no sex education, so he takes it upon himself to lead the program. The only problem? Osment's character is seriously lacking experience in the romance department.

"I hope they'll enjoy the movies," he said of his forthcoming comedies. "It was sort of a stroke of good fortune that Sex Ed…is a movie we've been trying to get made for four years and then it just happened to finally get made and premiere in the middle of all these other films that came up quite recently with the Kevin Smith movies and then Entourage, which I think will be the crowning thing because that character is so crazy."

"Fans are going to be really happy with it," Osment teased when hosts Catt Sadler and Terrence Jenkins asked him about the flick.

As for whether he could spill any Entourage secrets from the set? Well, you'll have to tune in to E! News to find out!

For more from Haley Joel Osment, be sure to watch E! News tonight at 7 and 11 p.m. And be sure to check out Sex Ed, which hits theaters on Friday, Nov. 7.
