Jingle bells (and wedding bells!) are ringing for Jason Aldean and fiancée Brittany Kerr.
The engaged couple caught up with E! News at the American Country Countdown Awards on Monday, where the duo dished on their forthcoming holiday plans as the soon-to-be husband and wife prepare to spend their first Christmas together.
"I don't know, we gotta figure it out," the 37-year-old said when asked if he and his bride-to-be are planning on starting any new holiday traditions. "I think we're probably going to have some, but we don't even know what they are yet!"
"I think we're going to figure it out as we go," Kerr, who showed off her enviable figure in a fitted black LBD, added with a smile.
Aldean popped the question to Kerr during the West Coast leg of his Burn It Down tour. The couple, who was first romantically linked when Aldean was photographed kissing the former American Idol contestant in October 2012—while still married to Jessica Ussery, the mother of his two children, from whom he later filed for divorce—has faced scrutiny over the rocky beginnings of their relationship, which Aldean has repeatedly shut down.
"It has been two years of this s--t—get over it, already!" the country singer told Billboard magazine in August.
Despite the criticism the couple has faced, the pair has seemingly brushed off the backlash and is busy planning their upcoming wedding.
"It's coming along, kind of," the "Big Green Tractor" singer recently told E! News of his nuptials to Kerr at the 2014 CMT Artist of the Year Awards. "It will happen sometime in the next year."
And while they still have a ways to go in the wedding planning department, the pair, who recently spent Thanksgiving together with both their respective families, are certainly enjoying celebrating the holidays as an engaged couple!
"We'll have to make some new ones [traditions] as we go this year," Aldean told E! News before Kerr chimed in, "Which makes it fun. I had never done Elf on a Shelf, so that's a new one for me."
