Chloë Grace Moretz on Crutches and Wearing a Knee Brace: Find Out the Reason for Her Injury!

Chloë Grace Moretz was photographed making her way through LAX airport yesterday with the help of crutches. In addition to the crutches, the 17-year-old actress was sporting a big black knee brace on her right leg. So what's the story behind the teen star's injury and is it serious?

We're glad to report Moretz only suffered a "slight sprain" on her right knee, according to her rep. The sprain happened while Moretz was filming her new movie The Fifth Wave in Atlanta. "She does all of her own stunts," her publicist added.

Despite the injury, Moretz flashed a small smile to photogs as she hobbled through the airport terminal Wednesday.

Moretz also took to Twitter today to explain her knee brace. After one fan tweeted, "@ChloeGMoretz getwellsoon chloe,i hope you feeling better now:(," Moretz replied, "thank you so much it's just a light sprain and I'm being extra careful."

As for Moretz's new action flick, The Fifth Wave follows the story of 16-year-old Cassie Sullivan as she "tries to survive in a world devastated by the waves of an alien invasion that has already decimated the population and knocked mankind back to the Stone Age."
