Chelsea Clinton stepped out of the Big Apple and strapped on those cowboy boots for a day of planting trees in honor of the Clinton Foundation's Day of Action.

The proud new mama to baby Charlotte Clinton Mezvinsky arrived in style to the Palm Springs event at the James O. Jessie Desert Highland Unity Center and spoke to the crowd about how motherhood has affected her charity work.

"I'm a new mom," she was heard saying during her speech earlier today. "And I didn't know that I could care any more about the issues that I already care about like health and wellness until I became a mother and until I had a daughter."

Chelsea previously revealed that her parents, Bill and Hillary Clinton, are just too smitten for words over their adorable little grandchild.

"We all kind of compete to see who's going to read her stories," Chelsea told People. And even though she personally didn't care for Hillary's singing voice when she was a little girl, Chelsea says she "love(s) watching her sing to Charlotte" now!

As for Bill? He loves walking up and down the hallway with her (past our bookshelves) every time pointing out a different book to her and telling her that someday she'll be old enough to read that book herself," Chelsea dished. "It's so sweet."

So sweet!
