Farrah Abraham's lips are no longer sealed.

The former star of MTV's 16 and Pregnant and Teen Mom appeared on The Doctors Monday to discuss in detail how an allergic reaction recently sent her to the ER. "My lower lip has always been larger than my upper lip, so I like to make them symmetrical, and from time to time, I do add filler. I wanted a lip implant because it was more of a permanent fix," said the reality star, 23, who's perhaps just as famous for previously getting two breast augmentations, a chin implant, a rhinoplasty and fillers in her cheeks.

"I definitely did my research," said Abraham, who briefly worked at a strip club last summer. "I found this doctor who specialized only in facial plastic and cosmetic surgery. The following week I went in to have a procedure done. As soon as he touched my lip with whatever numbing product he was putting in there, my lip was having an allergic reaction right away. I've never felt this sensation in my head before, but I also am scared. I was laying down flat, but I was seeing more of my lip, like, come up and come up. Then, he's like, 'Wow, this is really swelling up. I don't think I can even get the lip implant in there.'"

"It was definitely like, 'What did you just do to my lip? You're ruining my face,'" she recalled. "And that's when he suggested the ER. Things were getting fuzzy and I just remember waking up in a hospital bed."

"One of the ER doctors said my lip was all the way up here in front of my nostrils at one point, and that's what was very concerning to her. They gave me a steroid and an antibiotic. I'm going to continue my medication for the last three days," the In the Making scribe said. "I'm just really thankful that I'm alive."

Abraham appeared on The Doctors about a week and a half later.

The swelling has gone down considerably, Abraham revealed, although "some of the nerves are still numb and there's some pain from time to time, through there. But I'm just thankful I'm looking normal."

Dr. Drew Ordon admitted that he was stunned after seeing photos of Abraham's swollen lips, which she said her doctor attributed an allergic reaction to "a preserve that he had mixed it with" prior to surgery.

"I've been injecting lips for 30 years probably," Ordon told her. "I've never seen something like this."

Does Abraham plan to plump up her pout after her lips go back to normal? "I'm more concerned about stretching out of my lip, and that's why I'm kind of scared to keep doing the injections," she exaplined.

"And I know that may be silly," she said, "but after time and time again, it's scary."

Ordon warned her, "You don't want to do anything to your lips for a long time."

Abraham said the incident "was very much a wakeup call," adding, "I'm just super happy that I'm alive. I do need to do more research. Maybe I'm never going to be doing that ever again." Asked if she still intends to get butt implants, she replied, "I'm just still doing research. I'm more in the research phase. I don't want anything that's creating more problems." For now, Abraham said she's "walking a lot of hills."
