Wednesday night's episode managed to actually go up in the ratings, meaning Empire has improved in each of its first four original broadcasts, making it the first primetime series to do that in the last decade. The premiere brought in 9.8 million viewers, with episodes two and three attracting 10.3 million and 10.9 million, respectively, before the most recent episode was watched by 11.3 million people.
