InstagramThe Duggar family has never been shy about their conservative Christian values, so when Jim Bob and Michelle's niece Amy Duggar recently revealed she was born out of wedlock, it came as a shock to many.
The aspiring singer responded to speculation via an Instagram post on Tuesday in which she is proudly posing alongside mom and dad while confirming there's truth to the tabloid talk.
"The tabloids are telling the truth, my mom and dad did have me out of wedlock," she captioned the pic on her photo-sharing page. "Just because we are Christians doesn't make us perfect, it just makes us forgiven. Just because I share the Duggar name doesn't mean my life is perfect!"
She then goes on to praise her uncle, Jim Bob, as well as the 19 Kids and Counting clan, while saying that her family's success is all thanks to their faith in God.
"God knew my uncle would have a hit show and that somehow I would be apart of it," she wrote. "He knew my parents story would be told. How amazing is that?! Your testimony is everything. Everyone struggles, and sins differently. but Jesus paid it all!!
"I'm extremely grateful to my mom for choosing to give me life," the Duggar niece continued. "I'm sure she was scared, young, ridiculed, and felt ashamed. God's grace covered it though! She's beautiful inside and out. I'm also grateful that I have such an awesome relationship with my dad! Seriously he's the greatest!"
She added before concluding: "Jesus, thank you for restoring hearts, relationships and families. No matter what you have done, don't think your a second you're alone in this world. Jesus died so that you may be free! John3:16 #prolife."

Meanwhile, pregnant Jill Duggar and Dereck Dillard, who are expecting their first child together after tying the knot in June 2014, recently took to Instagram to celebrate the one-year anniversary....of their first hug (side hugs are the preferred method of PDA in the Duggar household—chest-to-chest contact is reserved for married couples).
"A year ago today my best friend made it home from Nepal @DerickDillard," Jill wrote on Instagram. "Today I'm married to him and 32 weeks pregnant with our little man!"
Not to be outdone, Derek also shared his own heartfelt post, writing, "It's hard to believe that it's just 2 days short of a year ago that Jill and I embraced at this same place when I returned home from Nepal!" he captioned on Instagram Sunday. "Then we were courting."
