Amanda Bynes Steps Out Looking Fit and Healthy During Rare Public Shopping Trip—Take a Look!

Troubled actress recently shared her plans to transfer to a new Los Angeles college

We've seen a few selfies here and there, not to mention a few different hairstyles.

But it's been almost two months since we've seen Amanda Bynes actually out in public…until now.

The 28-year-old actress stepped out for a rare public appearance Saturday afternoon where she shopped in and around West Hollywood, Calif., with a female friend.

Wearing ripped denim jeans, a white T-Shirt and a checkered jacket, the Hairspray and What a Girl Wants star looked healthy and relaxed as she texted on her cell phone. She completed her outfit with sunglasses and Nike shoes.

The last time fans saw Bynes was last month when she posted a surprise selfie on Twitter with a totally different hair color and style. She also posted a selfie on Christmas Day wishing her followers a very "Merry Christmas."

Bynes' latest public outing comes just a few days after the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office opted not to press charges against the actress in connection with her arrest on suspicion of DUI last September. 

Her case, however, is being forwarded along to the L.A. Country District Attorney's Office as a possible violation of Bynes' probation. Bynes' attorney had no comment on the decision.

While Bynes tries to maintain a low-profile both in public and on social media, fans are still interested to find out what the former Nickelodeon star will do next.

After studying at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Orange County, Calif., for a few quarters, the actress decided to share her hopes of transferring to the University of Southern California.

"I took a USC campus tour yesterday it was sick!" she tweeted in December. "I plan on transferring from FIDM. The campus is sick!"
