Tori Spelling is quite the hands-on mama!

The 41-year-old True Tori star was all smiles Tuesday as she taught her and Dean McDermott's 6-year-old daughter Stella how to ride a bike! Stella, clearly a fan of unicorns and the color pink, got the bike for Christmas, but a source says this was her first time trying it out!

Mom was very patient and reassuring, says an onlooker, who noted that Stella was initially pretty scared. She rode two blocks back and forth, and while she did fall two times, Tori was quick to reassure her. "You're doing awesome," the mother of four was overheard saying. "I am so proud of you!"

Both ladies were very excited when Stella got the hang of it! Tori was clapping and cheering her on, says an onlooker.

So where was dad Dean McDermott? Not far away! According to an onlooker, the 48-year-old actor came home right as Stella was finished riding her bike (and happily told dad what she'd accomplished).

Dean was noticeably absent from Tori's pictures of the McDermott's 2015 Oscars party Sunday (although to be fair, he might've been the one behind the camera). Some concerned fans wondered if this was a sign of trouble, but rest assured: The spouses were seen together just last week at OK Magazine's pre-Oscars event in Hollywood, where a source told E! News they "were in great moods and they looked really happy."

The past year was not an easy one for the couple, but in late 2014 Tori told E! News she was holding on to "hope" they would continue to rebuild their relationship "We've been doing a lot of work," she said, "and that's important for us to commit to each other as a couple and a family and we're doing therapy and we're doing a lot of work together."

(These photos of Stella were taken with parental consent in accordance with E!'s no kids policy.)
