InstagramTaylor Swift is officially part of the family!
The 25-year-old "Style" singer shared an Instagram picture of herself rubbing Jaime King's baby bump Sunday. "Guess who just got named Godmother of this little one..... (ME)," Swift wrote in the caption.
King, who announced her second pregnancy last month, shared another Instagram photo. "And @taylorswift will forever be looking over our new baby @kyle_newman -we all love you!!!! Xx," the Hart of Dixie star wrote.
The actress also tweeted a link to Swift's Instagram announcement, adding," Xoxo.
King has yet to discuss her due date with fans.
Neither King nor filmmaker husband Kyle Newman have revealed who the godfather will be yet. The couple's firstborn son James Knight has not one but two celebrity godparents: Jessica Alba and Topher Grace! Raving about the Honey actress last year, King told E! News, "She is such an incredible parent and I chose her because she really showed me what it is like to be a great mom and a great working mom."
When King was pregnant for the first time, she looked to Alba for advice.
"It was really just watching her over the years, the balance that she creates," she said. "She had kids before anyone in our group of friends did and I thought after having a baby, how much courage that takes and how much information you need to know...and watching Jessica really come to her own and create this Honest [company] of all of these products that are good for the planet, good for children. It's just so great knowing I have someone that is like a sister that did so much for women and families."
Like Alba, King trusts that her children can look to Swift as a role model.
"Taylor is just one of my closest, closest friends—one of my dear, dear friends. We just met and instantly had a connection," she told E! News last year. "She is also another woman that I feel is one of the most authentic women we have in this industry that other women look up to."
