Between all the stars Jordin Sparks has met throughout her career, some leave a powerful impression far above the rest.

Two of those famous faces were Bobbi Kristina Brown and Whitney Houston.

"I have seen Bobbi Kristina throughout the years, just being able to say hi," she told E! News exclusively this week. "I remember seeing her on the red carpet for Sparkle. It was amazing to see the bond they had and shared."

She explained, "You could just tell as soon as [Bobbi and Whitney] were near each other or when they looked at each other, they were always searching for each other in the crowd. If they got separated, they were always looking for each other and I loved that."

But as Bobbi Kristina celebrates her 22nd birthday in a Georgia hospital today, the American Idol alumna can't help but voice her love and support for the famous daughter.

"I felt kind of like a sisterly connection but I didn't get to see her very much or very often but I did let her know, if you ever need anything, just call me," Sparks recalled. "But my heart breaks for her. I hope that they can pull through and whatever happens, I just hope it's in their highest and best."

What the "Double Tap" singer will never forget is the small but powerful words Bobbi Kristina repeated to her after one special performance.

At the 2012 Billboard Music Awards, Sparks joined John Legend onstage to pay tribute to the late Houston.

After performing "I Will Always Love You" for the very first time, Sparks was touched by Bobbi's thoughtful compliment.

"I remember getting off the stage and she came back and she was wiping back tears and she had said it was amazing," Sparks recalled. "If Bobbi said it was okay, then that's all that matters. As long as she thought it was great, that's all that mattered."
