Not only does she make out with three different men in the four-minute vid, but it was actually directed her own fiancé, Anthony Byrne.
They had no problems collaborating on the somewhat intimate material.
"We had so little time to get so much done that, to both our surprises, we just went into professional mode and the subject matter didn't affect us at all," Dormer exclusively tells me.
The video, which they shot in just one day and came about after Dormer approached the "Take Me To Church" singer about working together (yup, she's that big of a fan!), shows the Mockingjay actress walking though London while imagining locking lips with different men she sees on the subway, in a nightclub and on Waterloo Bridge.
In the raciest scene, Dormer takes off her top while rolling around in an apartment and on rooftop with the the hottie from the bridge (actor Billy Cook, who Byrne had also directed in BBC America's Ripper Street).
"This isn't simply a woman fantasizing about being with different types of men," Dormer said. "She's deeply lonely and also has a moment watching two girls, simply pining for their close friendship. Or maybe she's imagining a female lover as well. It's ambiguous on purpose."
Dormer says she and Byrne hope to next work togther on a feature film, a psychological thriller they co-wrote and want to start shooting early next year.
"Maybe," Dormer said, "Hozier will record the theme for it—if we're lucky."
She and Byrne got engaged in 2011 after meeting in 2007 while filming The Tudors in Dublin.
